I was raised among 11 million siblings; Tom didn't like onions, Liz didn't like ham, David didn't like tomatoes and so on.
& yet, everyone gets hungry. Never mind that I was 10 years old, I learned how to work around everyone's preferences & satisfy the hungry bellies.
These days I actually get sort of a sick pleasure out of restrictions and whenever there is a potluck, I enjoy making "everything" free food - no wheat, no dairy, no meat, no added sugar & yet delicious. Small victories, you know.
I'm entirely self-taught and only use recipes as guidance for the first time I make something. I cook from my heart (& my taste buds) - there's no books for that.
